Stop.
Be still and know that I am
God. I will be exalted among the
nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.

Look.
The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky proclaims the work of
His hands. Day after day they pour out
speech; night after night they communicate knowledge. There is no speech; there are no words where their
voice is not heard. Their message has
gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited
world. Psalm 19:1-4
When I observe Your heavens, the
work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, what is
man that You remember him, the son of man that You should care for him? Psalm
8:3-4
Listen.
Then the word of the Lord came to
Elijah, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” He replied, “I have been very zealous for the
Lord God of Hosts, but the Israelites have abandoned Your covenant, torn down
Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they are looking for me
to take my life.” Then the Lord said, “Go
and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.”
At that moment, the Lord passed
by.
A great and mighty wind was
tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord
was not in the wind. After the wind
there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but
the Lord was not in the fire. And after
the fire there was a voice, a soft whisper.
